Hi there! We are Jen and Joi, two sisters living in Southern California! The furry little creature is our cat, Luna (our pride and joy). We run Moggy Masks with the help of our family, who is so supportive of our business adventure. Each mask is custom designed by one of us, and we’ve worked really hard to get this small business up and running. 10% of all our profits goes to the WHO Covid-19 Response Fund to help fight Covid-19 around the world. What is a Moggy?!

When trying to decide what to call our brand, finding a unique but meaningful name was a very difficult task. We filtered through hundreds of names, and after days of finding nothing, the term moggy was brought to our attention. Moggy is British slang for cat, but specifically an unremarkable cat. We didn’t want our masks to seem unremarkable or ordinary, and we thought maybe the name moggy wasn’t right for us. But, just like when designing our masks, we decided to look at it from a different perspective. Masks are also considered unremarkable, with the same boring designs and uncomfortable fit. But, we’re hoping that with a moggy mask we can reinvent how masks are viewed, especially with the current global situation. We hope that out masks can take something that is viewed as typically unremarkable and redefine it.
